Programs
Academic Programs
Each academic program includes courses from three areas of the
curriculum: Biblical Studies, Christian Ministries, and General
Education. Courses from these areas work together to help students
develop a Christ-centered worldview, and a heart for loving God and
serving others. Students are challenged to grow in knowledge, in
critical thinking skills, in communication skills, in character, and
in commitment to their faith.
Bachelor of Arts
Biblical Studies
This major adds extra emphasis on Biblical Studies. Students are
prepared to begin work in several areas of ministry or to attend
seminary or graduate school.
Bachelor of Science — Double Major Options
Biblical Studies & Applied Psychology
This major prepares students for employment in Human Services
areas or for graduate work in counseling.
Biblical Studies & Applied Studies
The Bible major at OHCC is combined with professional or
technical studies, such as nurse’s training, linguistics, or
computer technology, from another accredited institution.
Bachelor of Arts — Double Major Options
Biblical Studies & Camp Ministry
Students spend three years at OHCC and one year at Camp Forest
Springs in Westboro, WI, preparing for camp leadership and
administration.
Biblical Studies & Christian Ministry
This major prepares students for a variety of church and para-church
ministries.
Biblical Studies & Worship Arts
Students completing this program will be prepared to serve as
worship leaders in the church.
Biblical Studies & Intercultural Studies
This major prepares students for work in cross-cultural settings,
whether at home or abroad. Students have the option of spending one
semester overseas in The Bridge program.
Biblical Studies & Pastoral Ministry
Biblical, theological, and practical foundations are included in
this program of study for the pastorate. Students are prepared to
pastor small churches or to continue their education at graduate
school or seminary.
Biblical Studies & Youth Ministry
This major prepares students to effectively work with youth and
to assume leadership roles in Youth Ministry.
Associate in Arts
Associate in Arts (general)
This program combines General Education with Bible and Christian
Ministry classes. The credits transfer to many state and private
colleges.
Associate in Arts in Biblical Studies
The AA in Biblical Studies is for those who desire a two year
concentration in Biblical Studies.
Certificate in Biblical Studies
Certificate in Biblical Studies
This one-year program equips students with a strong foundation of
Bible content, application skills, and outreach opportunities. This
course of study is valuable for anyone who wants to increase their
knowledge of Scripture and deepen their walk with God.
