Message from the President
Oak Hills is first and foremost a Christian college. It is a college where all students major in Bible. Survey courses help students to gain the big picture of what the Bible is all about. There are courses in various sections of the Bible and in individual books which assist the students to gain an in-depth grasp of the Bible. At Oak Hills you can also choose a ministry major - Youth Ministries, Applied Psychology, Pastoral Studies, Camp Ministries, Intercultural Studies, and Christian Ministries — all B. A. programs. You may also choose an A. A. program or even come for the one year Bible diploma. All students at Oak Hills are involved in outreach programs. Students may choose from a wide variety of ministry opportunities - from assisting in children's clubs to ministry in a nursing home; from teaching Sunday School to working in youth ministries, just to name a few. Students and staff attend Chapel several times each week for worship, inspiration, and encouragement. Chapel is a central part of the Oak Hills experience. Second, Oak Hills is a college. Students must apply themselves to reading, writing papers, and completing other class assignments. Expectations are high, but success is rewarding. Finally, as the name Oak Hills suggests, we are in a rural setting. Our campus is located between the Upper and Lower Marquette Lakes on the Schoolcraft River chain, which joins with the Mississippi River a little over a mile from our campus. Students can push off from our campus for a quiet canoe ride or take a boat out for a few hours of fishing. Many acres are available for simply enjoying the woods and trees. If you are looking for a Christian College in a rural setting, where you will be more than just a number, Oak Hills deserves a second look. We welcome you to visit our campus, attend some classes, and visit with staff and students. Then pray and decide whether Oak Hills Christian College is the school for you.

Academic ProgramsEach academic program includes courses from three areas of the curriculum: Biblical Studies, Christian Ministries, and General Education. Courses from these areas work together to help students develop a Christ-centered worldview, and a heart for loving God and serving others. Students are challenged to grow in knowledge, in critical thinking skills, in communication skills, in character, and in commitment to their faith. Bachelor of ArtsBiblical StudiesThis major adds extra emphasis on Biblical Studies. Students are
prepared to begin work in several areas of ministry or to attend
seminary or graduate school. Bachelor of Arts — Double Major OptionsBiblical Studies & Camp MinistryStudents spend three years at OHCC and one year at Camp Forest
Springs in Westboro, WI, preparing for camp leadership and
administration. Biblical Studies & Children's MinistryThis major prepares students to work effectively
with children, develop and lead a children's ministry program, and
function as a professional team member in a church or para-church
organization. Biblical Studies & Christian MinistryThis major prepares students for a variety of church and para-church
ministries. Biblical Studies & Intercultural StudiesThis major prepares students for work in cross-cultural settings,
whether at home or abroad. Students have the option of spending one
semester overseas in The Bridge program. Biblical Studies & Pastoral MinistryBiblical, theological, and practical foundations are included in
this program of study for the pastorate. Students are prepared to
pastor small churches or to continue their education at graduate
school or seminary. Biblical Studies & Worship ArtsStudents completing this program will be prepared to serve as
worship leaders in the church. Biblical Studies & Youth MinistryThis major prepares students to effectively work with youth and
to assume leadership roles in Youth Ministry. Bachelor of Science — Double Major OptionsBiblical Studies & Applied PsychologyThis major prepares students for employment in Human Services
areas or for graduate work in counseling. Biblical Studies & Applied StudiesThe Bible major at OHCC is combined with professional or
technical studies, such as nurse’s training, linguistics, or
computer technology, from another accredited institution. Biblical Studies & Small Business AdministrationThis degree prepares students for effective service in a small
business, managing a small business, or starting a small business. Associate in ArtsAssociate in Arts (general)This program combines General Education with Bible and Christian
Ministry classes. The credits transfer to many state and private
colleges. Associate in Arts in Biblical StudiesThe AA in Biblical Studies is for those who desire a two year
concentration in Biblical Studies. Certificate in Biblical StudiesCertificate in Biblical StudiesThis one-year program equips students with a strong foundation of
Bible content, application skills, and outreach opportunities. This
course of study is valuable for anyone who wants to increase their
