Intercultural Studies

Program Profile

sam-in-haiti--400x258-.jpgThe Bachelor of Arts in Biblical Studies and Intercultural studies is designed for the student who desires to work in cross-cultural settings. While this has historically implied a career abroad (still a viable and encouraged option), increasing diversity in North America has made the need to understand how to navigate between cultural settings less of an "optional extra" and more of a necessity. Building the degree on a solid, biblical foundation, we offer training which will enable the graduate to be an asset to mission agencies, non-governmental organizations, churches, as well as even secular businesses which need someone with expertise in communicating across a cultural divide.

Who should apply?

Those with a passion to share the love of God with the nations, both in terms of witness and in areas such as justice and development.

What careers will I be prepared for?

You'll be prepared for work in mission agencies, non-governmental organizations, domestic intercultural ministry, and churches. Your skills will also be an asset to secular organizations and businesses which need someone with expertise in communicating across a cultural divide.
