Job Description
* A speaker for our Jr Youth program which is about 30-35 youth
ages 10-13. The speaker shares twice each day for about 20-30
minutes. We encourage the speaker to share interactively and
incorporate their own gifts as they feel led. This could also be a
two-person team. We pay all travel costs and offer a $400 stipend
(or $200 each if a two-person team). * Music leaders for our Sr.
Youth program which is about 45-50 youth ages 14-18. This would also
be twice a day. We can also cover travel costs and offer a modest
$100 stipend for a worship leader or any musicians who would enjoy
serving with us. * We also need both male and female counselors for
the Jr. Youth. This comes with a $50 stipend. The dates for camp are
June 20-26.
Additional Comments
Our camp is a fantastic community focused on growing in God's love
and building a community that is counter-cultural, bursting with
love and eager to play outside the box. We run two programs at the
same time on one campground-- a Jr Camp for the younger youth and a
Sr Camp for the older youth. Our camp is a fun opportunity to serve
at a camp without having to give up your WHOLE summer!

Listing: Christian Summer Camp Staff for Underprivileged Kids
Camp Brightwood Ranch is Christian camp providing a summer camp
experience for underprivileged children and youth of Edmonton and
surrounding areas. The camp owns 220 acres in rolling hills located
one hour west of Edmonton, Alberta. We operate programs for youth
ages 6-17 through 6 day resident and outtripping camps. Camp
Activities include: horseback riding, archery, skateboarding,
climbing wall, low ropes course, zip line, riflery, drama, crafts,
petting zoo, wilderness skills, Bible studies, chapels, games and
much more. Summer positions are paid and include room and board: 4
month positions: main site program director, youth development
program leaders, tipi village program director, junior wrangler
program leader, secretary, maintenance, . 2 month positions July and
August: counselors, assistant cooks, youth development program
assistants, male and female unit leaders, wranglers, secretary and
nurse. Volunteer positions (1 week or full summer) room and board
provided. Activity Instructor, Kitchen Helper, Junior Counselor,
Wrangler, Camp Grandparents Additional four month position: working
nights in our emergency shelter for men in Edmonton from late April
to June 25th and then at the ranch from June 25th to August 23rd or
29th. Contact us for salary and job description on this. We also
have a full time position available. It is a Youth worker position
working with our Kids in Action Program. It is an program that has
lunch and after school Christian programs in inner city schools. For
more info contact us as well. Salary: $1,000 per month plus room and
board. Staff are also given the opportunity to raise an additional
$1,000 per month through friends, family and church. Start dates:
May 1, 2010 or June 22, 2010 depending on position to August 27th
Qualifiations - commited Christian - love for underprivileged kids -
enjoyment of the outdoors Opportunity to raise additional funds – we
give you a letter stating that you will be working at the ranch in
the summer. You hand that letter to friends, family and church and
those people send donations to the ranch. What comes in for you up
to $1,000 per month will be given to you at t he end of each month
to at the end of the summer minus CPP, UIC and income tax.

Job Description
Counselors are responsible for 8-10 campers in their dorm, but
spend time with other groups of campers during a day. Camp sessions
begin Monday morning and end Saturday noon. There is a short weekend
break between camps just enough time for laundry and few hours away
from camp. Counselors are provided with room and board for the
summer. Staff training begins June 13th and it is encouraged that
all our summer staff attend.
Additional Comments
We are a non-denominational, evangelical, non-charismatic Bible
teaching ministry. We're located on the west side of the Rockies,
about 100 miles north of Missoula, MT Our 220-acre camp property
sits on an 80 acre lake. We're about 40 minutes from Glacier
National Park and about 5 miles north of the town of Bigfork, MT.
