The Oak Hills women’s basketball team dropped a 102-29 decision to Turtle Mountain on Friday night.

Reggie Krickeberg paced the Wolfpack (0-6) with 11 points.

Ronnie Jackson comes up big for the Wolfpack

The Oak Hills Christian College men’s basketball team picked up its first win of the season Tuesday night with a 105-101 triumph over Leech Lake Tribal College.

Ronnie Jackson paced the Wolfpack (1-20) with a game-high 34 points. Four other Oak Hills players reached double-digits as Duke Abalos and Michael Wolfe each added 19 points while Aiden Guthrie and Colin Tyrone chipped in 16 and 12 points, respectively.

Tristan Keah-tigh led Leech Lake with 32 points and Jordan Collins followed with 18. Ryan Jad tallied 16 points while Joe Strong and Brandon Mastea each recorded 11.

Oak Hills will host Turtle Mountain Community College for a two-game series Friday, Jan. 20, and Saturday Jan. 21. Friday’s game tips-off at 8 p.m. and Saturday’s at 2 p.m. -- The Bemidji Pioneer

Departure from the Hostetters

It was a wild ride full of adventure, for the most part. There were amazing highs and precipitous drops accompanied by abrupt and sudden changes of direction. There were moments of sheer terror and moments of utter exhilaration. On the other hand, although rarely, it was sometimes languid and slow, tedious even. So what am I talking about? Whitewater rafting? Riding a roller coaster? Helicopter ride?
