Freyholtz Repeats as National Champion

The Oak Hills Cross Country team made history in Jackson, MS this past Saturday (November 11th) as Sophomore Billy Freyholtz once again claimed the NCCAA DII championship while finishing the 8K race in 27:22 - a full 30 seconds ahead of the second place finisher from Bob Jones University. He also received All-American Honors for the second year in a row.

91st Alumni Weekend

Saturday September 23rd started the 91st annual Alumni Weekend. The weekend was filled with many activities for alumni participants. Randy McKain’s Youth Ministry class organized activities for alumni and families. Some participated in an early-bird campfire breakfast; others chose to hit the snooze button for a bit longer. Later in the day, alumni gathered for choir practice with Mr. Kenneth Wold. During Mr. Wold’s teaching years, students who came late to practice had to leave 25 cents in Mr. Wold’s tardy jar. Hopefully Mr. Wold has been able to retire that jar by now!

On Thursday August 31st Oak Hills Christian College hosted a Student Outreach Fair. Many community agencies & ministries gathered in our gymnasium.The Student Outreach Fair is designed to focus on local service-orientated learning. This fair helps students gain hands-on and practical volunteer experience in areas of their interest or their degree program. Students will make a commitment with one of these organizations to serve 30 hours per semester.
