Campus Renovations Continue with the Prayer Chapel

With nice spring weather, A Campaign for Real Transformation continues with campus building updates. The Prayer Chapel was the first building to have renovations which began in early April. The summer transformation projects include landscaping, refacing of buildings, and updating signage.

Highway 2 Clean Up

On Saturday, April 22, 2017, Oak Hills’ staff and students joined in roadside clean up along Highway 2 with the Adopt a Highway program. Jim Hodgson, Director of Church and Community Relations, rallied 18 volunteers, 12 from Oak Hills and 6 from Compass, a Christian young adult community in Bemidji. Together they were able to clean up a total of 4 miles along side Highway 2.

We are pleased to welcome back Jean Bower as our special guest speaker this year.  Jean loves to work in her flower garden.  Every Spring offers a time of "new beginnings."  Winter has left a barren landscape void of any beauty.  But as the season moves forward, beauty bursts forth offering joy to the gardnener and to all who see it as well.  Our spiritual lives are much the same.  We all experience barren times and long for "new beginnings."  Calvary freely offers the grace to restore and forgive.  It is in the "moving forward" from that point that we face our challenges.  Come join Jean and other sisters in Christ as we explore God's word for practical help on "moving forward" confidently.

I came to the Great Room of the new Thompson Hall on the evening of January 22 to lead staff and students in a time of dedication and thanksgiving.  Before long, we were swept up in a wave of student-led prayer in which God was praised for His extravagant goodness. Students called upon God to consecrate this dwelling and rest His Spirit upon it.
