Job Description

Hilltop United Methodist Church (Mankato) is seeking a youth director, a dynamic leader who can grow a youth program through outreach to current families and community contacts. Responsibilities include overseeing weekly youth programs, both established programs and new programs; planning and promoting special events, including mission trips, retreats and fun activities; leading Sunday morning and Wednesday evening youth activities; and managing all other aspects of the youth program. 
Qualifications The successful candidate will display the following characteristics: • Leadership skills in leading, recruiting, training, and inspiring volunteers and students. • Strong organizational and communications skills • Deep commitment to Christ, personally and professionally. • Solid working knowledge of Scripture. • Ability to form healthy relationships with students, volunteers, families and congregation. • Conflict resolution and negotiation skills necessary. • A team leader who is willing to work on a collaborative basis with other church staff. • Four year college degree preferred.
