Thursday, September 21, 2017

Oak Hills Christian College Cross Country Sophomore Billy Freyholtz (Bemidji High School) won the Faith Baptist Invitational meet in Ankeny, IA this past weekend (9/16/17) with an 8K time of 28:31. Freyholtz is currently ranked number one in the NCCAA DII. The second place finisher behind Freyhlotz was Cameron Rankin from Maranatha Baptist University, who finished nearly three minutes after Freyholtz.

Coach Matt Myrick said "We did a great job last Saturday despite the 82F heat and 95% humidity. we aren't conditioned for that type of weather this time of year and so I am very pleased at how well the team did and of course pleased that Billy [Freyholtz] won the meet."

Oak Hills had nine runners compete in the event. The Wolfpack will be back in action next Friday (9/29) when they travel to Mankato, MN to compete in the Viking Invitational hosted by Bethany Lutheran College.
