Men's Cross Country Team Qualifies for National Meet

Wednesday, September 13, 2017

On November 11, the men’s cross country team will be competing in the NCCAA DII National meet held in Jackson, MS after qualifying last Friday at the Falcon Invitational in River Falls, WI. The team was led by sophomore Billy Freyholtz (Bemidji, HS), who holds last year’s NCCAA DII championship title. The Wolfpack look to make a statement on a national scale in November as Billy Freyholtz attempts to repeat the DII title.

Coach Matt Myrick says "The whole team competed well on Friday and I'm thrilled about how competitive this team is both mentally and physically. We're going to work hard in the coming months to get ready for November and by God's grace we're going to turn some heads down there."

The qualifying members for the team title are Freyholtz, Phillip Kopanuk (Anchorage, AK), Dezmond Ramirez (Bemidji, MN), Landon Peterson (Bagley, MN), Joseph Weeks (Bemidji, MN).
