The Fall 2022 semester is off to a fast start and our Wolfpack athletic teams are competing on the court and course. The OHCC Cross Country team is composed of eight student-athletes who are being led by first-year head coach, Landon Peterson. Coach Peterson, an OHCC Alumnus, competed in basketball and cross country while at Oak Hills. The team, comprised of seven men and one woman, will compete in five meets where they will try to qualify for the NCCAA National Cross Country Meet in November.
The Wolfpack volleyball team will be competing for Interim coach, Bryant Tucker Sr. this fall. The team currently has eight members and we are excited to watch them grow together. Seven of the eight athletes are freshmen, so the future is bright for the Wolfpack. The schedule includes 17 matches this fall.
The men’s and women’s basketball teams have started preparations for their seasons as well. The women’s team will be led by Bryant Tucker Sr. and he currently has ten ladies on the roster. Their season kicks off in late October. This year’s team will have all first-year players so we are excited for the future of our women’s basketball program.
The men’s team will be coached by OHCC Athletic Director, Jeremy Anderson and OHCC faculty member, Tom Haldeman. There are currently fourteen men on the roster and they start their season in late October as well. The team has three All-Conference players returning including NIAC Player of the Year, Tray Anderson.
Men’s soccer will be added to the athletic offerings in the Fall of 2023. OHCC has hired Joel Juni to lead this effort. Coach Juni also serves as a pastor in Park Rapids, MN.
