A Life that Counts
The truth of the Bible couldn’t be clearer. The men and women who were (and are) heroes of the faith have, in every generation, turned away from what counts in the kingdom of this world to live their life for what counts in the Kingdom of God.
In the preface to Don’t Waste Your Life, John Piper writes, “The path of God-exalting joy will cost you your life. Jesus said, “Whoever loses his life for my sake and the gospel’s will save it.” In other words, it is better to lose your life than to waste it.”
A life that counts for eternity has always been costly. You’ll be misunderstood. Your motives will be misjudged. You will suffer rejection. But all have been committed to having a life that counts, no matter the cost.
John Piper continues, “If you live gladly to make others glad in God, your life will be hard, your risks will be high, and your joy will be full.” Since 1926 the staff and ministries of Oak Hills have been equipping people to live a life that counts. Join us in that commitment.
