This year’s Oak Hills Christian College Volleyball Team will be focusing on player and team development due to the fact that many of our ladies are young and inexperienced.  The young Wolfpack team began the season Monday August 30, 2021 in Ely, Minnesota when they took on Vermilion Community College.  The Pack came out slow and appeared a bit surprised by their opponent’s talent level failing to score a point in the first set.  However, the Pack fought back and looked better over the next two sets losing 9-25 and 10-25 beginning the season 0-1.  The Pack’s next opponent was Trinity Bible College in the first match of a doubleheader in Minneapolis September 4, 2021.  The Pack changed their lineup slightly moving Tania Gladney from setter to MB to help shore up the passing and moved Becca Montecuollo from MB to setter.  The pack showed some improvement from their first match losing 9-25, 15-25, 9-25.  Montecuollo finished with 5 set assists with Gladney pounding down 4 kills and MaKayla Kameroff with 1 kill.  Gladney and Kameroff each served 2 aces with Montecuollo serving 1. The second match of the day was against NCAA DIII North Central University.  The Pack had to make a last minute adjustment due to an injury to outside hitter Fabiola Anez which kept her out of the first set.  They struggled in set one going down 0-25.  Anez was cleared to play in set two by the trainer and the Pack fought back against the much taller North Central University Rams team going ahead 4-2 before eventually falling 12-25.  The Pack ran out of gas a little going down in a rather lackluster third set 4-25.  Gladney finished with 5 kills, Montecuollo chipped in 1 kill and 4 assists and Kameroff led the team in receptions with 26.
