Meet the Newest Oak Hills Alumni
Ethan Aho
BS Psychology
I am planning on getting my Masters in Clinical Psychology, so I can be a licensed professional counselor. I hope to work with young children and adolescents who are developmentally delayed. In all my future work, I want to point others to Christ.
Austin Claseman
BS Sports Management
I am currently working as a paraprofessional in a classroom of mainly 6th graders. I am planning on starting the process of becoming an athletic director. I know it will be a long and challenging process, but it is one I look forward to.
Mikaela Clyde
BS Sports Management
At Oak Hills, I have met some of my favorite people, slept very little, and grown a lot. I am not sure what exactly my future will hold. My hope is that in whatever I do, I will do it with all my heart out of love for God and love for others.
Alexis Folen
BA Biblical Studies
I want to be a Bible professor. I am going to be getting my Masters online, continuing my biblical education. Additionally, I want to be a writer and pen articles on the topic of Old Testament.
Jenny Hodgson
BA Biblical Studies
The last 15 years as the Assisted Learning Program Director, I have taken a class each semester, so I could tutor students. My greatest joy has been taking classes with so many students over the years. I love to watch the accomplishments of struggling students, especially at graduation.
Ashley Houle
BS Addictions Counseling
I want to be a licensed alcohol and drug counselor. My time at Oak Hills has taught me of God’s desire for redemption. I want to bring this truth to all those I counsel, so they can experience His redemption too.
Daniel Kosinski
BS Psychology
I am going to be attending Trinity online to get my Masters in Theological Studies. During that time, I will be working as an EMT here in Bemidji. Eventually, I hope to be a theology teacher at a discipleship training school.
Timothy Kue
BA Youth Ministry
My wife, Evelyn, and I have been offered positions to do ministry abroad with One Collective. We are currently pursuing serving on a new team and pioneering ministry in a community in Albania. Among other things, I will be discipling the youth there. We are expecting our first little one in December, so we will be staying in Bemidji while we fundraise and get the hang of parenting a newborn.
Taylor Miller
AA General Studies
I want to be a second grade teacher. I think God will use me as an example to my students of what it looks like to follow Christ. My biblical foundation was built upon here at Oak Hills.
Brianna Rodriguez
AA General Studies
I have enjoyed growing closer to God and meeting the people I have come to know here along the way. I hope I can be a great example of what it is to love God and involve Him in my life. I hope when people see me, they see God.
Nicholas Van Grinsven
AA Biblical Studies
One day I would like to open up a coffee roastery and run the business with my family. I would also really like to be an author, writing novels.
Billie Jean Weinert
BA Youth Ministry
I have been able to put into practice what I have been learning in my youth ministry courses. I am going to bring this training in youth ministry into my work with senior citizens in a way that helps them develop meaningful Christian community.
