On March 23-24, Oak Hills Intercultural Communications students, led by Adjunct Professor Bill Haas and Teaching Assistant Faith Deppa, experienced an
exciting and informative intercultural trip to the Twin Cities. OHCC students engaged with Chinese students from the University of Minnesota in a relaxed
setting as well as touring the Chinese exhibit at the Minneapolis Institute of Art. One of the highlights of the trip was the Somali Museum. Students and
leaders all expressed that they were surprised and enlightened by this part of the two day experience. On Saturday morning, the group joined a local Hmong
church in helping to make preparations for their children’s Easter program and decorate the children’s Sunday School room. Students and staff were excited
about the learning opportunity and look forward to future opportunities to share Christ with people of other cultures.
