Bemidji, MN- The Wolfpack Men’s Basketball team picked up their first win of the season and a key NIAC conference win on Tuesday night when they defeated AFLBS 94-83. The Wolfpack struggled early in the contest and ended up going to the break, down 42-38. The guys came out in the second half more determined and took the lead back just 1 minute into the half. In a game where the score was tied five times and had 5 lead changes, Oak Hills Christian finished the game strong and held on for an 11 point victory.
The Pack was led in points by Elijah White (FR. Odessa, TX) with 31.
Four Wolfpack ended up in double digits led by White, Phillip Harris (SO. Memphis, TN) 24, Derrick Wright (FR. Odessa, TX) 14, and Blake Dragt (SR. Castlewood, SD) with 12.
Ronnie Jackson (JR. Seward, AK) led the way in rebounding with 12.
Dragt and White added 10 apiece to both end with double-doubles on the night.
Harris led OHCC with 3 assists on the night.
The Wolfpack shot 19 for 21 from the free throw line to seal the 11 point win.
The Wolfpack are off for the Thanksgiving break and the head to New Ulm, MN on Friday, November 30th to take on Martin Luther College. The Wolfpack then travel straight home and play NIAC members, Providence University College, on Saturday December 1st (7 pm) and Sunday afternoon December 2nd (2:00 pm) in the Schrieber Activity Center on the campus of Oak Hills Christian College.
