Monday, July 18, 2016

Oak Hills Christian College Athletic Director Jeremy Anderson is pleased to announce that Billy Freyholtz has signed his official Letter of Intent to run for the Wolfpack. “We are so excited to have Billy as our first ever cross country signee. He is an excellent runner and is just the type of student athlete we are looking for here at Oak Hills” Anderson said. Freyholtz is from Pennington, MN and graduated from Bemidji High School in 2015. Billy has spent the last year assisting with the cross country skiing and running programs at both the Bemidji Middle and High Schools. Oak Hills Cross Country Coach Matt Myrick states “Billy (Freyholtz) is a tremendous runner, a hard worker, and a heck of a teammate. He has demonstrated leadership skills while assisting the BHS programs this past year and will be looked to as a leader of our team.”

Freyholtz was a four year letterman in Cross Country for the Lumberjacks. With the help of Freyholtz, the Lumberjacks were Section Champions during his sophomore and senior seasons and Section Runner Up his junior year. He qualified for the Minnesota State Cross Country Meet three times with his best finish being his senior year when he clocked in an impressive 5k time of 16:43.
