Jeremy Anderson, Athletic Director at Oak Hills Christian College, is excited to announce the addition of Men’s and Women’s Cross Country to the athletic offerings for 2016. The Wolfpack will compete at meets across Minnesota and the runners will have the opportunity to receive national recognition through the NCCAA DII. If any runner/team would qualify, they would be eligible to run for an Individual/Team Championship at the National Cross Country meet in New York next fall. CONTINUE READING

Two Local Colleges in NIAC Tournament

Oak Hills Christian College and Leech Lake Tribal College travel to Belcourt, ND this Thursday to take part in the Northern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (NIAC) Tournament. The Lakers of Leech Lake will be participating in the Men’s and Women’s bracket of the tournament. Oak Hills will only be participating in the men’s side of the bracket.

The men’s side of the tournament kicks off Thursday at 6:00 PM with the #4 seed Oak Hills Christian College Wolfpack (7-19, 2-6) tipping off against the Leech Lake Lakers (3-17, 1-7). The winner advances to take on the #1 seed Trinity Bible College Lions (9-16, 6-2) on Friday at 2:00 PM. The winner of that game will take on the winner of the #2 seed AFLBS (11-18, 6-2) #3 seed Turtle Mountain Community College (8-11, 5-3) game that takes place at 6:00 PM Friday night. The winners of those two matchups will head to the Championship game which tips off at 4:00 PM Saturday.

The women’s side of the bracket will tip off Friday with #4 seed AFLBS (6-10, 1-5) tipping off against the #1 seed Trinity Bible College Lady Lions (14-9, 4-2) at 12:00 PM. The second game of women’s tournament has the #3 seed Leech Lake Tribal College Lady Lakers (3-3) taking on #2 seed Turtle Mountain Community College Mighty Mikinocks (4-2) at 4:00 PM Friday. The winner of those two games will play for the Championship on Saturday at 2:00.

All games will be on the campus of Turtle Mountain Community College in Belcourt, ND. Tournament information can be found on the NIAC website.
