NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF EVANGELICALS

Oak Hills is a member of NAE, whose motto is “Influence for Good”. NAE President Emeritus Leith Anderson is personal friends with our own President Martin Giese, & has spoken twice at Oak Hills, most recently at Dr. Giese installation service.  The NAE is now led by Walter Kim. EVANGELISM SHIFT

Evangelism Shift is building a movement of transformed churches across the U.S. whose people have a culture of living as witnesses in their everyday lives, calling others to respond to Jesus Christ. Their U.S. ministry is led by Bruce Dick of Devils Lake, ND, former Lead Pastor of Bethel EFC there. Bruce is a guest presenter in our Rural Certificate program.

MINNESOTA CHURCH MINISTRIES ASSOCIATION

Oak Hills partners with Tim Johnson and his MCMA to provide our Bemidji Rekindle ministry conference. The Rekindle conference is the primary ministry conference in northern MN for local pastors and lay leaders.

GLOBAL LEADERSHIP NETWORK

Oak Hills has been a member of the Global Leadership Network since 2012 and is the northern MN host for The Global Leadership Summit. This is the primary leadership development conference in the US for all sectors of society.

CHIEF (Christian Hope Indian Eskimo Fellowship)

Our CIM & Church Ministries team partners with Huron Claus of CHIEF to provide the national United in Christ – Native Ministry Leadership Conferences. Oak Hills continues to partner with CHIEF in our Mokahum Ministry Center and upcoming BUILD program of mobile discipleship training for reservation communities.

Our Church Ministries team regularly directs churches entering pastoral search processes to contact IPM for assistance. Many evangelical churches in northern MN and in eastern ND have been blessed through IPM’s experienced pastors.

Transform MN is a new ministry organization based out of the Twin Cities that has caught our attention with their ministry collaboration and networking to bring relevant help for current issues churches in our MN are facing. 

EFCA – North Central and Northern Plains Districts

Oak Hills is an inter-denominational ministry, and one our strongest connections in this region is with the Evangelical Free Church of America. Our Church Ministries team both attend local EFC’s, Rick Weinert served as District Superintendent for the Northern Mountain District, and Jim Hodgson serves on the board of the North Central District and grew up connected with the Northern Plains District.

ALL PEOPLE INITIATIVE

The EFCA is an association & fellowship of autonomous & interdependent churches united around the same statement of faith. Considered one of the most diverse denominations in the US, the EFCA is reversing division, multiplying Kingdom growth & developing transformational churches among all people. Their All People Initiative is a national coalition of multiethnic & multicultural leaders committed to disciplemaking, gospel impact & community transformation.

RIGHT NOW MEDIA

Right Now Media is like Christian Netflix w/ a vast streaming library of Bible study videos available. They also are the ministry that hosts the Work as Worship livestream and resources. Next Step Resources is an EFCA affiliate ministry, based in Bloomington MN, providing Christian books & church ministry curriculum. They are the one-stop-shop bookstore for our OHF Church Ministries team, and we recommend them to churches & ministries in our northern region.

RURAL MATTERS INSTITUTE

With over 60 million people in rural America, a movement is emerging to plant, resource, and multiply life-giving, spirit-filled ministries in rural America. The Rural Matters Institute is a community for pastors and Christian leaders serving in non-urban contexts. With the convening power of the Wheaton College Billy Graham Center, RMI was created to provide support, learning, and community for denominations, networks, and churches ministering in non-urban contexts throughout North America.

RURAL home missionary Association

TOWN AND COUNTRY TRAINING (TACT)

RHMA plants & strengthens churches in small towns, ministering to thousands of town & country churches. Our President Dr. Martin Giese is close friends with RHMA’s Executive Director – Ron Klassen, having co-authored their book Leading Through Change together with Barney Wells. Martin is also a frequent presenter in their TACT program for seminary students.

Northwest Conference of the Evangelical Covenant Church

Our Church Ministries team has entered into a new ministry partnership with the Northwest Conference of the Evangelical Covenant Church, in providing Rural Ministry training to their pastors & lay leaders through online webinars. Martin Giese, Rick Weinert, Mark Hovestol, & Jim Hodgson join their NW Conference team in providing these online & recorded training sessions every other month.

Village Missions

Village Missions exists to glorify Jesus Christ by developing spiritually vital country churches in rural North America. They fulfill this aim by placing pastors in small town and rural churches that might otherwise have to close, and in doing so, preserve the Gospel presence in over 220 communities across the United States and Canada. Rick Weinert served as a pastor with VM.

Rocky Mountain Bible Mission

In a ministry where large crowds and impressive budgets are not a measure of success, the Rocky Mountain Bible Mission is making and equipping disciples in the rural areas of the northwestern Rocky Mountains. In this corner of His vineyard, the Lord has raised up a fellowship of churches and a family of laborers for over 50 years, dedicated to making Christ known in the “little places” of our land.  They are committed to providing help to rural churches and workers. Rick Weinert attends their annual Shepherds’ Conference in Missoula, MT.

International Messengers

IM is committed to making disciples of all nations through partnering with local churches to renew, train and mobilize believers in reaching the world for Christ. IM was founded by the late Bob Rasmussen (OHCC graduate) & begun as a ministry of OHF.
